Coffee Table Spey Rolls-Royce with a turbine Spey manufactured
and designed by Rolls-Royce. A low-bypass engine turbofan by Rolls-Royce.
Used during 40 years for civil airline jet. The Spey was used for
military engines too, designed engine RB168 for the McDonnell
Douglas F-4 Phantom II, Blackburn Buccaneer and the Hawker
Siddeley Nimrod MR1/MR2. Two Spey RB.168s also powered
Richard Noble’s jet-propelled car Thrust SSC to set World Land
Speed Record, on 15 October 1997, at the speed of 1,228 km/h
(763 mph) and became the first car to officially break the sound
barrier in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada.With strong clearglass top.
